Laura (Powroznyk) Fick


Laura Fick’s approach to coaching and management consulting stems from her broad experience in the area of Human Resource Management, having held positions with responsibilities for the United States, Canada and Mexico in both for profit and non-profit organizations.  Her value today also arises from having been centrally involved, through these roles, in the development of world-changing technologies, business processes and the engineers, designers, managers and operative personnel who made them work.

Ms. Fick has driven change through her development of leading edge competitive pay programs and incentive programs.  At Zenith Electronics she was involved in the initial product development of the digital cable set top box. This includes her leading the design of a milestone based incentive program for the new product start-up.  She has also been involved in the development of process improvement programs, training and development programs and the implementation of corporate-wide pay plans and executive compensation strategies.  Laura’s style, serving as an internal consultant to business groups and customers on various human resource issues, made her a valuable resource in a variety of business cultures and drew her beyond HR into organizational effectiveness solutions.

Today, Laura combines her experiences and education to provide creative problem solving solutions to current management challenges, development plans and individual coaching which allow clients to more efficiently and effectively attain business goals through the utilization of their human capital. On a more personal level, her cordial and supportive coaching approach is backed up by a strong focus on value-added results, disciplined accountability, and expansion of personal and organizational competencies. Laura’s perspective connects the dots between strategic objectives and delivery of critical performance.

Prior to joining Seamless Strategy, Ms. Fick has held positions at organizations including Marriott Hotels, Underwriters Laboratories, Zenith Electronics and ACCO North America.

Laura Fick is active in her community through her volunteering.  She has held various leadership positions in Boy Scouts of America.  Through a decade of involvement in BSA, she has ensured proper recognition of scouts and helped to increase membership and create sustainable programs.  In addition, she has been involved in granting merit based scholarships to local students, recognizing exemplary citizens in the community, and promoting other community initiatives through her membership in a local Junior Women’s Club.


Ms. Fick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Organizational Development with a concentration of additional study in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.  Additionally, she studied Business, Psychology and Economics at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.

Ms. Fick has also earned the designation of a Certified Compensation Professional.
